PB1B: Finding Your Voice

Part 1: Think about a public argument that you’d like to make for WP1. What issues do you care about what? What would you like to advocate for or against, and why?

I am especially pay close attention for children and the elderly. Such as my three examples, they talk about reading day. It is also because of the special concern for the elderly and children, I also pay attention to education, pensions, schools, etc.
Of course, apart from this, I am related about historical controversial matters or news. Such as the rape of Nanjing

Part 2: Looking ahead to WP1, you’ll need to write a Letter to the Editor (actually two of them!). Take a look back at the 3 examples that you collected for PB1A.  What “moves” (decisions, techniques, or strategies) did these writers made which you’d like to consider using in some way for your WP1 assignment.

State the identity to be credible(education background, work experience, prizes etc.)
In the three examples I looked for, they all gave specific suggestions or feedback plans.
Start from a different perspective to achieve a goal.(with nice tone)

Part 3: Evaluate these three Letters to the Editor: Who do you think wrote the best LTE, and why?  What “didn’t work” and why?  As you answer these questions, think about the intended audience of each piece.

Sample letter #1 is the best LTE.
Because this is LTE gave people lots of datas to support the recomment of "NEA's Read Across America Day". The writer also added some details(Head Start program,Dr. Seuss's birthday). The author's language is not only formal but also enticing. The writer also gave a plan for the activities, the reader can see the four different aspects of planning. For the comparison of this LTE the other two LTEs have a focused explanation. Therefore, the length of these two LTEs is  a litter short, indicating that the recommended part is not enough.
